Get the HD2 Shift kit and servos and a good tune and you will be good for a while.

have a corvette servo on and a Black bear tune..will also add a Trans cooler soon and look into a shift kit

Congrats on the cam install.

A trans cooler should help a lot. Excessive heat tends to kill automatics quickly and with the added power + looser converter will def add more heat.

Didn't some of these rigs come with a HD trans cooler stock? If so would you still have to install a aftermarket trans cooler.

amazon has the tru cool 40k for 136 shipped and if you go onto performance trucks theres a guy who sells a mounting kit for 75 with factory fittings and brackets. makes it a lot easier to install the cooler

will give them a call to see what they say but the pac 1218 are some great springs and now i just have to decide which 7.5 pushrods to go with!

You're gonna love that Camshaft i know i do. Our cams are almost identical. I went with 216/224 on a 551/ lift, Mine is made by vinci It's called "The Trucker CAM" i went with Lunati Voodoo Beehive Valve Springs and Comp Cam 7.4 pushrods as far as gaskets i would go with a LS-1 TIMING COVER GASKET SET.

You might want to consider changing out the Water Pump/Timing Chain/ if you have high mileage, since everything will be torn apart.

did either of you measure for your pushrods before ordering? Just wondering how you determined the proper length as neither seem to have used a pushrod checker..

Nice. I got the pushrod checker so I'll go thru the motions just to see what number I get..7.4 most likely. I'm going with the Vinci trucker cam and stock lifters but just want to be sure.
