From my experience, if you are an Auto Club member, you may be able to have them do the inspection...way less brain damage than the DMV.

Unfortunately I am not.
I figured as soon as I get it I’ll just go and register it with the DMV and have it inspected there; but I think I have to have like a smog certificate or something before I can get the MSO so I will definitely see what I need to do, because I know on the website it says that if it’s newer than eight year models that no certification of smog is needed. But who knows

I bought out 09 Escalade from a Dallas Lexus dealer and drove it back to Orange Co in two days. This was Feb 2020. AAA will do all the Ppwk and register it only if it’s a new vehicle. It’s worth it to join just to have the resources to register it.

I paid my taxes here in Cali at the DMV. I waited an hour to be seen. I was lucky in that I went to AAA first to ensure I had all the correct Ppwk.

Be sure you have a phone to record when the truck arrives. Get shots of as much as possible because you won’t notice the blend or damage until the adrenaline wears off.

BTW congrats on finding a truck. My neighbor just sold her LS400 and borrowing a neighbors car because inventory is almost nil on what she wants.

I’ve had it for almost 3 months now. No blend damage. But i think the rear camera washer does not work. Alteady had some warranty work on it too. But runs great so far. I love it!
