replaced my right front drive axle with a Cardone 99-1009HD (the recommended one from their site) and on installation I noticed there’s not an outer axle dust shield on it. Without it there I can see it leaves the hub exposed to the elements. Any of you guys have this issue on a new axle replacement? Suggestions on where to get one, or thoughts on if it needs one if the new one didnt come with one? 88576460cbf9d2cd029045436ede31e8.jpg
I’m calling Cardone on Monday but hoped to find an experienced answer here first.

I had ordered both cv axles from NAPA with HD boots, didn't open the box til I got out to the shop that weekend. Same issue as you, no dust seal on the axles. No way to get them unless I wanted to wait so I carefully removed my old ones, cleaned them up ,lightly drove them on the new axles. Since all they do is keep the crud out, I didn't have a problem with doing this. I've had no issues with them.
I looked around online a little, no in depth search but I haven't located new ones.

Yeah I thought about that too, but my old ones didn’t budge with a light touch and started to bend when I applied more than tlc so I stopped. I might need to give it another go
