outside rear mirror cracked

I cracked the driver side rear mirror on my 02 tahoe. Dealer wants $400 + $55.00 labor + taxes to change the glass. Any ideas what I can do its hard to see with the clouding of the mirror. $455+ seams like a lot to me for a piece of glass. I have a small round mirror glued on for the time being. Thanks for any ideas.....

yea mine got stolen even the salvage yards are asking $170 for them. but theres no way i would pay 400. i guess they are soo expensive because of the built in turn signal....

Is it just the glass or the housing? If it's just the glass, it can be replaced cheaply and easily. It pops right off and you can buy a replacement and pop it back on.
