IMHO, if your above 14v hammering it, voltage your fine. If you dipped into the 12's running, then yes.........

again, just me, save your cash on a 200a alot....I don't see a 'need' just yet.

Have been hearing poor reviews on powerbastards, on SMD, the irragi owner clamped one and they got one and it was rated 220max/120 idle, it actually did 154 max/105 idle.

I'd stay with either mechman or dc power

I have a powermaster beefed up by mechman myself

Dominick is a good guy and does great work. i was gonna get his dual kit with a 300 and my stock.
got the powerbastard one that i have tested and i was TOLD it was doing 147-152 at idle. which i think is about right for a 250amp alt.
i wanna do something crazy in my truck but have to wait at the moment :emotions122:

I ran my 0 gauge with a ring terminal from my alt to my 2nd battery instead of coming off the 1st battery. I have a battery isolator but was told but a associate who does audio/video installation for a living to just run it from the alt. Atleast it wouldnt be pulling from the first battery and comin straight off the alt. Makes more sense to me....

You can either do that or just do the big 3 and run 0 gauge from the alt to front batt, then you have your 0 gauge run from the front batt to the rear

the blue you see coming off the back of the alternator goes to the front battery and then from the front battery to the back is a run of positive and a run of negative
the alt bracket also has 2 runs of ground.. 1 going to the front battery and one going to the frame of the car

all in 1/0

I would HIGHLY recommend NEVER running a battery isolator
it killed my Kinetik in the back because it could never charge it all the way
the front battery read 12.6v while the post going to the back battery read 10.8v
you really shouldn't be playing your high wattage system with the car off anyways.. no point considering most amps do rated power at 14.4v or higher
