2008 Yukon Denali, 6.2L, 155K. Changed headlight assemblies last night with aftermarket Eagle Eye replicas to stock. They look beautiful, just like originals, light up great, but after a couple of drives today, following going through a car wash, immediately upon start up the engine light came on with this knock sensor code. Wondering if it's related to the new light assemblies, which are matched to OEM spec; related to the automatic car wash as I'm driving into it with its power washers spraying everything down; or not related to either and pure coincidence on timing. Seems to be running normally, no obvious changes. Gauges all look good... no overheating or loss of power. I have a code reader, no scanner or knowledge for live data. I cleared code. Started and idled for a few minutes. No pending codes, but this all just happened. Thoughts?

I highly doubt it has anything to do with either. A knock sensor code like that can also be from low fuel pressure though or other issues so you should monitor things and see if it comes back or you get other codes.

Thanks for your comments. Could bad gas cause it? It was on a 1/2 tank and I just filled it up to take it for another run. Drove 60 mph for a couple of miles. Stopped. Turned it off on side of road for a few minutes. Started it up and reversed route to home. Turned it off in driveway for a few minutes and turned it back on. Read for codes and no pending or fault. Time will tell if it comes back I guess.

Probably got wet at the car wash and shorted to ground. Driving around dried it out probably. P0328 is for Bank 1, driver's side. Check the wiring and connector; if it does it again, replace the sensor and or connector.

With a multimeter, you can test for 2-3 volts at terminals A and B, then switch to 400 mv AC Hertz and tap the block with a wooden mallet to see if it jumps around which means it is working.

knock sensor code can come up slowly, then gradually become more frequent, if you end up having to do the knock sensors can't stress enough to use OEM only and replace both the sensors and use a new oem harness, and silicone those baby's. Otherwise knock on wood you will be doing them again, never fails......aftermarket in this area is garbage.
