yea Im just throwin 2 p0430 codes. gonna order them 2 downstream 02s and maybe replace the cats if that doesnt fix it. what one did you replace upstream or downstream do you remember?

the p0420 and p0430 apply to the rear sensors. While there are other codes for the rears and for the fronts as well. there is no catalytic efficiency codes used by the front sensors.

p0430 is the right cylinder bank downstream of converter.

you know what ....I think im gonna do the 2 downstream 02s but because of my hard starts after driving for awhile I think one of my cats is becoming clogged as well. 2 new cats are in order too.

hard starts where a sign of a bad injector assembly right? anyone?

you mean like a bad spider injector? it starts fine if it sits for a hour or too. but after driving for 20 or 30 mins then shutting it off it starts hard. i was thinking maybe something was clogging my cat or cats.....??

or you are dumping to much fuel which need to evaporate first. To test for stuff like that rent or borrow a fuel pressure tester gauge. the rear O2 will not help with hard starts. if you have a hard start but can haul ass down the road converters are not likely the issue.

I recommend you fix the broken sensor and run some fuel pressure tests first before going any further.

ordered the 02 today. been busy. gonna replace it and run the fuel pressure test as recommended...but what am I looking for in the fuel test? and if its off do I have to replace the spider injector?

Give me the following number and we will see.

gauge initial hookup pressure after engine sits for an hour.

pressure during two second prime with key on no start.

pressure after priming is done but before start.

pressure during idle.

pressure and trend direction when cracking WOT.

pressure at stable 3000 rpm.

pressure immediately after shut down and again at 5, 10 and twenty minutes.
