I have an 07 tahoe with the p0449 evap vent code. I have read conflicting info on the web about part numbers and needing to replace part of the wire harness that plugs into the solenoid. Does anyone know all the required parts and have part numbers?

Since no one else posted....

I have not experienced said DTC code.

You mean to replace the harness not the solenoid right?

Well from what i have read and how i interpreted it, i need to replace the EVAP vent valve/solenoid. And some people say that you need to replace a piece of harness as well. Im not sure.

Part# 20995472 AcDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Ventilator Assembly
Part# 19257603 AcDelco Evaporative Emission Canister Valve Solenoid Jumper Wiring Harness Assembly

Here's a pdf version of the service bulletin and install instructions for the updated part numbers: http://ww2.justanswer.com/uploads/supermechanic/2012-08-17_235851_purge_valve.pdf

I just ordered the same parts from Amazon because I have the same P0449 code.
Hope that helps.

Well i replaced the evap vent solenoid amd cleared the code and the check engine light immediately came back on. Anyone know what else could be the problem? Also, does anyone know the voltages that I should have at the plug with the key off, with the key on, and with the engine running? Thanks.

Just to let you know I am having exact same problem after replacing parts for that code. Also replaced purge valve on top of engine and also gas cap. Taking it in to dealer Sat to see what the hell is going on. I have a feeling it is electircal somewhere. So I will let you know if I can get the dealer to tell me.

Ok cool. I definitely think its electrical too. Im trying to find somone with a bidirectional scan tool that can command the solenoid on so I can check.
