A quick glance at the T/S parameters for the 8” RT you got and it looks like it should do good in the stock location.
I researched them a bit.

It seems there are 3 units that can be used.

One is MB Quart the other is a Retro Sound. I choose the Kicker.

I’d have chosen the same thing, I’ve had a few different Kicker products and they have all lasted the test of time and plenty of abuse. I actually still have one of the old blue and silver L7s and a KX600.1 from back in the day and they both still works just as good as the day I bought them.

Cleaned the glass today.

Had water spots everywhere. First used Water Spot Remover from CarPro. Then clay barred the glass. After that used a DA buffer and Griots Glass Polish to buff out the glass. Finally coated with Griots Glass Sealant.

Put in the LEDS as well.
