Anybody experiencing faded paint specifically on the hood and roof on late model (2018) Tahoe or Yukon? I heard mention of a recall but that seems to have been a rumor.

This is the 2000-2006 section but hood and roof are definitely rough spots for paint over time

There was a law firm starting a class action lawsuit listed on a different truck forum, try a Google search.

Yes my 2015 has faded paint on the hood and the entire roof.

I recently had the hood repainted since it was very noticeable. I may do the roof at another time.

lol. Good luck with a class action suite maybe after 10 years you’ll get $100 after the lawyers take their share.

I started this thread recently based on my 2016 Tahoe hood/roof paint issues. My truck is in the body shop right now for a repaint of the hood/roof. I started a case with GM about this and they are paying a messily $200 on my $4100 bill. GM claims they will reconsider more money after this current work is done. (I'm not holding my breath).

There is a class action working its way through the courts and hopefully the court will rule in favor of the owners for reimbursement.

2016 Tahoe faded paint on hood and top

In the last year, the paint on my hood and top has started to fade, fine scratches and a rough feel. I maintain my vehicles and have waxed my Tahoe at least once a year. Took it by a few body shops and one guy said there was a known issue with the paint on Tahoe. To fix, they will have to...
