Painting Interior Door Handles

Sup tyf had a thought come in mind when I was detailing the truck about the door handles and wondered if they could be painted or anything really hate cleaning all of the eyesores off especially finger print from these hot summer days. So just a question what do you guys think?

Just as the chrome is, painting it will leave finger marks as well. Might as well leave it chrome and not worry about taking everything apart, leaving it with the painter for a couple days, and putting it back together, plus spending extra money...
