Painting your roof rack (Z71)?

So now that I have my running board/bars painted, my gosh dang roof rack sticks out like a sore thumb due to some faded spots. Whats the best solution since this seems to be a mix of plastic/aluminum? Or is it all plastic?

Maybe just remove it all together

If the faded spots are plastic there are a couple good products to bring the black back.
