I recently switched to a color matched Escalade HMSL and after doing so I found myself hating the look of her roofline. Going from painted to a short black section and then back to painted again was just killing me. However, I like the o.e. all black wrap around glass look and didn't want to change the complete look of the vehicle by color matching the complete D pillar appliques.

This is what I came up with. I haven't seen any other pics posted like this so I thought I would share.

Excuse the pics, we've had two days of snow and she missed her beginning of the week bath.

Thats what Ive been looking for, thanks for posting!

It looks like the paint line drops a little bit at the end, is that noticable in person?

I was a little skeptical at first, but overall think I'm happy with it.

Thanks!

We ran the line two different ways before I made a decision to paint. First try was just straight across from the small indent in the applique but then the paint ends up higher than the small lower painted section (that rests up against the glass) on the hmsl. Probably wouldn't have been very noticeable and I considered painting that lower section on the hmsl black to match the glass to eliminate the drop. Second attempt, we ran the line at a slight curve so it lined up with the lowest point on the hmsl. I ended up going this route since the factory glass had a curve to it as well.

Looks good. I've had mine like that for about 4 years. I think it flows better.
