in the last few weeks i've noticed my passenger side mirror is having issues... from the driver side controls i can move it left and right, but it will not move up and down. when i put the truck in reverse, it still will not move up and down.

could it be a bad motor, or something else? i'm thinking it's the motor, but i'd hate to spend $60 on a part when it could be a relay or something else.

thought i'd run it past you folks here and see if anyone else has had the same issue.

thanks in advance!

don't think so. If you look at all the eBay auctions, the 07+ motors look different than 00-06 motors

yes - the mirror motor replacement did the trick. it was the mirror tilt motor, not the motor folds the entire unit in and out.

i know that was the fix, but i don't recall the cost for the part. i know i did it myself, and i probably used rockauto.com to order the part, but i don't see it listed anymore...

gmpartsdirect has it for between $34 and $67. if you search the catalog, navigate to body hardware -> front door -> outside mirrors -> motor

in the parts diagram, it's part number 4. once you know which one you need, you can take the part number in the description and do a google search to see if it's cheaper anywhere else.

i've got an ltz with the power fold mirrors, so the part number for mine was 25808706 for the right side mirror.

hope this helps!
