Damn this truck. I love it but I'm about to take it for a long drive off of a short pier. It starts then dies, with the security light flashing. Funny thing, I removed the esky gauges and it started right up, let it sit for a while went to start it back up same thing (nothing) WTF. Figured it was the security system. Question does anyone or has anyone done the simple work around to disable the whole system. You know, getting the resistor value from the key (which I dont even see on my key) and splicing a resistor of the same value in between two wires under the coloumn. NEED HELP QUICK.....:flamingdevil:

I think that might be for the remote start only. Do you already have an aftermarket alarm installed?

No aftermarket alarm installed. Funny thing is today I messed around with it for half an hour, no start. Let it sit for about two hours. went back started right up. the difference was that I hooked up the A/C controls.......what is going on.

Ehh, I read about these being random and driving people nuts to the point where they are unpredictable and randomly strand you. I would get it replaced.

So here's the latest. Put all the OEM electronics back in. Radio, AC controls and gauges. Started right up like nothing ever happened. So I ordered the PAc-OS1 kit. But now I'm not sure if I need the PAC-OEM kit as well.
