Park your vehicle 25-30 ft from a wall and measure where the cut-off is then measure how high your headlights are. The wall measurement should be either level with or slightly below the measurement right at the vehicle for your driver side headlight and a little higher than level for your passenger side light. If you don't come close to what is shown in the attached link, you might need them adjusted.

Mine were not aimed properly by the dealer. They were set so that the hotspot was dead level if not a smidge high, to the point where not only did they look obnoxious but they were also throwing light at air instead of further down the road...

I first aimed mine properly so that the top of the cutoff was even with the headlight and then took it down a little more to be a nice guy. They're still plenty adequate on low. They have a decent pattern but undoubtedly could be better with a more traditional projector lens instead of the GMC cool looking rectangle grids.

I'm a big fan of good headlights so seeing good headlight aimed poorly looks just as dumb as a Carolina squat to me. 2 minutes and a screwdriver and voila! You look like you own a proper $80k vehicle again, not some moron with LED bulbs from Advance in a halogen housing!

Usually when you check those flashers back with your own high beams and they realize your lows ARE on that settles them down. I get that too on my old '07. And I have mine aimed down a bit and they are factory housings and halogens and I still get some "headlight checks". **** 'em.

We live in an area with a lot of hills and the approach angle at intersections allows some vehicles to squat while waiting at signals.

Our 2002 Audi allroad has sensors that dip the HID headlights on grade. Manufactures in the US allow vehicles with 6K brightness LED systems no strategy for protecting surrounding drivers from spotlighting them with lumens equivalent to sunlight.

Even though our Escalade has the LED package, I don’t ignore that it’s blinding the shit out of others. I gladly dim the beams to parking lights until I leave intersections that jack light into oncoming drivers. If Jeff Gordon or Hans Stuck said **** em if my headlights blind other drivers, they’d be laughed out of the racing world.

I can acknowledge the frustration and lack of technology to dip the LED beams that blind surrounding drivers, but gotta call muster on the behavior and gratifying attitude it ***** with other drivers vision. If that’s just sarcasm being posted, these comments are too.[emoji3]

When you say measure the headlight at the vehicle is it at the top or bottom of the housing?
