Damn that's half the price of the Magnuson. Did you buy the LT4 itself through Calloway, or was it an entire kit? I might look into the LT4 a little more now if they're that affordable.

You can find slightly used LT4 Supercahrgers on ebay for $1,200-$1,500 all day.

i would recommend calling a reputable performance shop, several have offered take off units from customers upgrading to other chargers...and some have even been modified internally to flow better.

Well any aftermarket kit is designed to be bolted in to it's application. The LT4 'charger will require a little ingenuity and fabrication even with some of the parts out there to bolt in. The LT4 supercharger is a 1.9L vs the Magnuson being a 2.3L

I also have only 3200 in to my swap for a running supercharged LT4 setup. I got a really good deal on my supercharger though from Callaway. Most of the aftermarket kits are at least twice this price. I'm also sporting a larger upgraded heat exchanger in this total.

I also think this poking out the front end seals the deal for me..

I'll be honest it will probably be a while until I pull the trigger on a supercharger. I'v got a long list of mods and accessories I want and I'v been slowly checking the off.

Going to be ordering the tune, exhaust and the intake tomorrow, along with a set of those new Morimoto XB headlights. After that it will be awhile until I can break open my piggy bank again.

Just to update, I found out the hard way the LT4 supercharger isn't a viable option on the yukon/tahoe with dual heat/AC. The tee that comes off the heater core at the firewall is too close to the supercharger. I knew it was close, but didnt think it would be THAT big of an issue. Engine twist ended up snapping the tee off and got coolant everywhere. Silverado/Sierra dont have these tee's to worry about.

Whipple is going to have the Gen V released in the next few months for us. Going to pick one of these up when released.

good candidate for a solid mount, even one side to aid in eliminating the twist but yet allow some engine dampening from the others

Thanks for the insight. I'll disregard the LT4. The Gen 5 is going to be the 3.0L, correct? I think those are going to be the next best supercharger. For about the same price as the previous gen you are getting allot more HP/Torque according to their specs.

yep gen v should be the 3.0, unless they go crazy and go right for the 3.8.
