my buddy was over last night. i was explaining the noise i was hearing right before the AC went out. he said, hmm.. then laid under the engine with a flashlight and pulls this out. haha. why didn't i think of that? the A/C drive belt snapped. it's pretty well dry rotted. remember this denali was sitting in AZ in storage for like 3+ years. So i will do both belts.
but, AMEN that it's only a belt and not something a$tronomical

Make sure you check the ac tensioner pulley. I had 2 brand new ac belts burn up on me before I realized it was the tensioner! This isn't the regular tensioner mounted up top, it's lower, near the lower front frame. You can see it better if you're laying on the ground.

Make sure you check the ac tensioned pulley. I had 2 brand new ac belts burn up on me before I realized it was the tensioned! This isn't the regular tensioned mounted up top, it's lower, near the lower front frame. You can see it better if you're laying on the ground.

X2 on this dirt and other crap can get in there due to its location, it's best to do this tensioner anytime you replace belts imo

yup, i see it now. thanks

yeah, doesn't look like too hard of a job to do. imma do both belts and the AC tensioner hopefully this weekend
