That NNBS shifter looks smooth man! I really need to get on mine! Haha. Mine has the stitching on the back. Lol. Looks like I’m ordering more SEM tonight so I can get on this this weekend haha.

Does SEM have a clear? Just to act as protection.

unless you wanted it to shine there is really no need for clear. SEM is durable as hell

hook it up man! its fairly easy. the wiring was the only thing that slowed me down

You know what would look better? Hydrodipping the black plastic to match the steering wheel....;)

you mean like the stalk? make it blackwood?

then i felt the sky glowing behind me
and i had to race out and capture a sunset..

Guess she'll have to wait till this weekend for more progress.

She is getting uglier and uglier before she is going to look pretty. It's hard for me to even drive her looking this way. But at least finally people are starting to give her attention :)

nothing to see here, just a bunch of prep/sanding pics

my 43 year old body and arms are sore as hell, haha

i just laid on the roof and took my time laying in the water as i sanded away

d290.jpg

d291.jpg

took off all the black plastics on the bumper.

just in case anyone is wondering how to remove these...

d292.jpg

don't just try and yank them off. lay on the ground and look up, you will see they are held in by these thick squeeze notches. i just squeezed them with a pliers and pushed them through until the two left and right top bumper plastics released.

d293.jpg

the lower bumper plastics are the same but they have the basic circle clip on the lowest bottom edge as well

d294.jpg

all off. gettin uglier by the hour :) sanded the back tailgate/bumpers

d295.jpg

and finally.. the whole drivers side has been wet-sanded

d296.jpg

threw a couple plugs/attachments on my Gun so i could test the CFM,, and these puppies throw out a mass amount of air and the compressor seems like she will keep up with me... So that was relieving. Yes, thats a beer. I think i drank 12 for everyone
:happy160:

d297.jpg

So tomorrow i gotta remove the front lip. And then the final stage of bodywork which will be the scratches and imperfections on the front bumper and i got a deep scratch / groove on the right rear i need to fill with bondo/glaze, prime the area's, then sand and sand some more.
