Just get an iPad Mini mount and be done with it...

What is this mount? Where do I get it? And will a similar sized android tablet fit there? How big is an Ipad mini? I have an 07 yukon and my dash looks a little bit different than this.

My mind is racing because I'm wondering how good of an alternative this would be over having an aftermarket video receiver put in. All I have is the bose stereo right now. Crutchfield has an aftermarket video receiver that's $350 installed with back up camera. That also plays anything from a dvd, cd, usb drive. I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to automate a backup cam with this set up though. But still. This has many advantages. You can remove it for one. Which might be a ***** to have to put it in place everytime you got in the car. But you could upgrade in a snap too. anyway this has me on a whole new idea for this. So thank you for posting.

Also my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 fits perfectly in the console tray on my 07. It's actually just tight enough to hold it there too. It fits like a glove. I was surprised. The Note 4 is a 5.7 inch screen btw. Several other phones in the same size.

100% custom install...

There's no easy way to make a back up camera work with it. I would get a rear view mirror with a built in screen for the back up camera
