Location
Wellington, Fl., (formally Kalifornia)
The original Studebaker models from the 60s couldn't have square headlights. Those weren't available yet.
It was a round light, with a square bezel in '63 ( sold as a '64 ).... Square bezels were from a Studebaker truck in earlier years. Due to a parts supply, the Avanti went to round bezels in 'later '63 & then in '64.

( Round was a 'sporty' look, where, square was a 'luxury' look. )

Avanti was 1st with front disk brake option. It had a roll bar. An option supercharger or A/C ... one or the other..... the options filled the same area under the hood.
The Avanti had a top speed of around 140 + mph !!
This car had a MASSIVE steel undercarriage / framework to handle the performance, since the body is fiberglass.

Saw them here back in the day too.
Started listening to inxs around 84-85 with the 1st album The Swing' Loved them!!
Yes a pretty easy guy to talk to,humble
He had taken the GMC grill off and put the chev on because he loves the
Bow Tie
Someone had also done the whole woodwork thing with the dash and centre consul. Old skool craft look.
Hope you guys are well.
Still in Oz? Those cars you posted looked like it.
