Had to have been the 2.8. I had the 4.3 and it was a great motor.

4.3 was the shortened 305 block I believe. I had a 305 in a Malibu Wagon, that thing kicked ass. Miss that car. The frame behind the rear axle rusted and broke and the bumper fell to the ground and I just used ratchet straps to the roof rack to hold it back up LOL.

Here is a pic of that one. Now the red Beretta next to it had a 2.8 and it hauled ass and sounded real good. Must be the fuel injection? Or the changed it that year somehow? That was a real fun car too.

Honestly I don't know. But a guess is the 2.8. Stupid GM.... installing an engine that could not carry it's own weight ???
60* V6. No torque/HP worth a damn.

It was 3/4 of a 350. Technically, cylinders #5 and #6 removed.

I recall them Berettas sounding pretty good. Especially the later 3.x models.

It was fun to drive past this on the highway this week.
One of the three LL Bean Bootmobile vehicles is parked outside of the entrance to the primary LL Bean factory store in Freeport, ME.
This one was heading south towards Portland...anyone spot it from there?
If you want to learn more about the Bootmobile: https://events.llbean.net/index.html or
