So, I put a 2” rough country lift on the tahoe last week ,and these 305 55’s rub real bad… I’m putting a 1” rear spacer on this weekend…

1) Is there any lift I can add to the front that will combine with the rough country leveling kit for an aditional 2"?...

I’m considering putting a 4” – 6’ suspension lift on now, but don’t want to spend 2 – 3k… I’m also considering a 3” body lift… that or I’ll need smaller tires, or I’ll need to trim the hell out of my front bumper

Any input is appreciated

I am running the CCM leveling kit which is 2.5/1 with BFG 305/55R20. I had to trim the plactic wheelwell and the front air damn at first and now I dont rub at all. But i dd have to trim alot in order to do that but no metal.

What is the offset of your wheels? The reason I ask that is because alot of times when people switch from factory to aftermarket wheels the offset will change and push the rims out wider causing you to rub alot. Since my rims have the stock offset I was able to run these tires with no problem withthe lift. Thats one thing you should check that could be causing the rubbing

For a NNBS tahoe a 4-6inch lift is going to cost you a pretty penny cause I looked into it and after its all said and done it adds up pretty quick. Then once you add a bigger lift then your going to want bigger tires because they are going to look small so thats more money.

X2 on bs and offset. Your wheels probably need to come out a bit more, 305/50/20s were just pushing the limits on my 04 Tahoe.

DaveZ71 I’d really appreciate any pics or info you could send my way… could u please send me some pics of your shaved front bumper? My email is [email protected]

I’ve called a couple shops, I’m looking at 2k for a Procomp 6" installed... 1100 for a 3" body lift... or 1700 for a ready lift 5' front 4" rear lift...

I’d prefer to just install my rear 1" spacer and trim my bumper... only probably is the windshield wiper fluid reservoir is really close to the driver side wheel well...

What is your current backspacing and offset?

You have the Z71 trim so it will be different. You will probably need to trim the front lower valence about 2 inches and zip tie the wheel well liner. See the red line cut below.

If you are going higher, keep in mind that a body lift will require brake line extensions and have to make sure it includes bumper/hitch relocation brackets. That much body lift would also expose the frame (need gap guards). IMO better to just get a proper lift kit.
