I am speechless. This thing is awesome!!!

The power, technology, looks, ride is such a huge upgrade from the Honda Pilot.

I do have a question though, I noticed that my wheels had the one wheel lock nut on each tire. I never requested this option. Problem is, I can't find the wheel lock key. In the back seat, I did notice a registration card for Mcgard (maufacturer of the nut and key). Is this something that needs to be ordered?

Thanks all for the input in my other thread about buying this beauty.

Here is a picture I snapped this morning, more to come this weekend.

I would think the dealer would provide the wheel lock socket.

Yeah, the dealer should provide you with that key. Congrats on the purchase.

They usually keep it in the glove box.

Nice color..
Since we are in the middle of another 14" of snow, I put our delivery off until Monday of this coming week.

oh the anticipation. I commend you for being able to hold out for so long.

One thing I noticed yesterday was how low the front end was. The clearance from the ground to bottom of bumper seems a bit low. Wonder how it will perform in deep snow. :)

Had a bit of a scare last night driving home. Going over the bridge, it was windy. All of the sudden, I hear a clanking noise, metal on metal. I realized when I got home that the factory roof rails kinda jiggle a bit, probably not explaining it properly but the rail piece that gets seated into the housing has some play which was causing the noise. Seems normal I guess.

Will probably take them off because driving in the parking garage at work, it is real close to the ceiling (sign states 6.2" clearance). Won't miss them since I don't plan on using an overhead luggage rack.

Curious guys, where can I find the build date of my vehicle? I checked the window sticker and it only states the various plants where the vehicle was built but no date.

Thanks

Finally got around to adding some more pics!!!

One thing I've noticed while driving is the following. When I gas the pedal from a full stop and slowly accelerate and lift my foot off the pedal, I hear this clanking noise from I think the rear of the vehicle. Doesn't happen all the time but enough for me to get concerned.

It was almost identical to the sound I used to get with my wrangler which was caused by worn u-joints. I checked under yesterday and drive shaft and u-joints look fine.

Not sure what else could be causing this? any ideas? possible slip yoke?

Come on guys. Seriously.. If U find that U have wheel locks on your vehicle.. and no key.. after just picking it up.. get back to the dealer ASAP before Murphy's Law kicks in and U get a flat and can't change the wheel out.. because U have no key. Then we will get to here page upon page of bitching because of something that "GM did wrong. "

Anyway.. nice SUV. Gorgeous in fact. Enjoy

The clanking sound is REAL. I didn't even waste my time going to the dealer.. The would do the same thing I did probably but have me sit and wait for 3 hrs when its a driveway or garage kinda job that can be done in 15 minutes.

1) First grab a Torx wrench that fits the screws on the rails.
2) Loosen them up and remove entire contraption.. rail and holder. Make sure to put a thick towel or folded towel under all of them so as they don't touch your paint.

3) Get some thin rubber or.. in my case.. double sided 3M tape

4) Put a sliver of it on the actual rail and slide back into the holder so that metal is no longer on metal.

5) Re-install to truck.. and tighten.

Rattle gone. Took me all of 15 minutes in 90 degree heat in July. No problem or noise since.

Thanks Cmicasa the Great XvX.

Got the key.

As for the roof rails, I ended up taking them off for now. The added height was cutting it too close with the clearance in the parking garage at work. Will keep you tip in mind next time I need to use the roof rails.
