The esky moldings are cheaper than the LTZ trim, plus you have to paint the LTZ trim. Mine were 72.00 for the rear, 104 for the front each. My trim is gone already, but if you look at the body lines. GM usually lines things up. I believe if you follow the line from the top of the front bumper, to the top of the rear bumper, will give you your upper line for the top of the molding.

I am going to run a tape line, and tape the trim on to stand back and make sure it looks right. He's right, once that 3M tape sticks, its on there. Make sure it is free of all wax, sealants and oil before hand :waytogo:

I'd have to go out and look at mine, but I'm pretty sure that the top of the molding lines up with the tope EDGE/CREASE of the bumpers, and not the actual seam where it joins the sheet metal.

Again, I'd have to go out and verify this, but I think that's how it's aligned.

EDIT: I realize now that you might have been talking about the same seam/line...

On the rear bumper I believe it lines up. I'd have to look at some more pictures. Is there a measurement under the tahoe decal, and from the very bottom edge of the door to the bottom of the molding?

My experience in swapping all sorts of door moldings is that no matter their height, the top of the molding is always equidistant from the bottom of the Tahoe/Yukon/Denali lettering.

So yes, imo either measure the distance from the bottom of the letters and the top of your existing molding and use that as a reference, or better yet, use painters tape above your existing molding and use that to line the new moldings up.

When looking for the part numbers keep in mind there will be two versions ... one chrome and one primered.

The esky moldings for a tahoe/yukon are:

15876401
15876402
15876405
15876406

Got them installed, and they look great, took me 1.5 hrs to make sure they were straight and looked right. I measured 13" from the very bottom of the door to the bottom of the trim, and it looks spot on. Took the tahoe up a notch definitely. Now if I had an LTZ grille... It never ends
