Thanks for the replies. I am wanting to cover the chrome in the bumpers, grill and wheels. My truck is white and looking to add more white. The hd hood should be ready to install next weekend. I'm also not a big fan of all the chrome. On the wheels I'm going black with a white lip to match.

Yes as long as it's set up for the right psi and the right size tip. I think the 1.5 works the best or 2.0 tip. I've never personally used one of those but, my buddy dipped his truck and it came out good. i just picked up a graco 3900 from Lowes.

Figured I would jump in on this as I was thinking of painting my chrome black. I have the tan colored Yukon and noticed some rust at the corner near the bumper. I hate rust and wanted to get rid of the chrome. I wanted to see if you had moved forward with painting the chrome as I was thinking of painting the grill, badges, and accent strip on the side of my Yukon.
Thanks in advance!
Rock on

I just dipped my bumper and parts of my grill this past weekend. Turned out pretty good best part of the plasti dip is you can always peel it off. I wasn't sure how I would like these things painted. Even if this doesn't hold up very long, I now know I like the look and wouldn't hesitate painting it.

One aerosol can was enough to dip my front bumper, pieces of grill and small grill of another car.

If you want to see more pics of mine, they are in the thread titled Yukhoe (exterior)

I'm looking at doing my wheels this weekend along with the grill and chin spoiler. Still might do the bumpers but not sure yet.
