how many cans of plastic dip did you used on your Suburban ? i have a slverado i going to try it on. Any information will be helpful . thanks

2 If I remember correctly.

I would buy three just to have it, then return the last one if you don't use it.

Keep in mind you have to do about 3-4 coats.

Just picked up 4 cans today - might go plastidip crazy if I get time! I'll do my best to take pics along the way.

so to all the plastic dippers - in sounds good, But if i don't like it does it just peel off or buy a new grill ??? thanks

Plasti-Dip can peel off

I sprayed my grill inserts, not my whole assembly. Never took it off. Never have had a issue since. Only did a light coat however. Just enough to make it look darker I just masked off what I wanted dipped and what I did not want done.

Used it on my front bumper cap and valance. Gonna have them redone correctly though. Looks terrible IMO. Plasti-Dip is nice for somethings, but not everything.

So instead of using the PD for my grill, I ended up putting some coats on the new wheels I just got. Put four coats on but didn't let them dry for long enough so one wheel peeled as I was loading it into my vehicle. Going to redo this wheel and add 2 more coats to each of the others.

Once all this is done, I'll be PD'ing my grill.

The is a very small learning curve with PlastiDip, but once you get going.......
