I dont agree with easy to install. I did mine last night and if your not working on a lift and have the right tools I wouldn't attempt it. The bushing goes on very very tight, I had to use a very large crow bar against the frame with a combination of wacking with a sledge to get it on. I only took one pic because I remember someone asking how to get the bushing in the bracket. It was tough i was so frustrated I even broke one of the 18mm bolts. Then the rack has to drop to put on the other bracket because the diff is in the way and even then you have to really wedge around to get it on..I got a service contract to replace our OE rack with a reman AC Delco rack on our 08 Denali. It sucked. The mount tab to the frame brick off and it whined 24/7 until a hi grade fluid w/ conditioner was installed.
Keep the original rack in as long as possible and use the kit posted to take up the slack caused by the OE bushing going bad due to petroleum contamination.
Yes they do work and yes they are easy to install.

Yea, I'll take changing the motor mounts over this one any day. For the first hour I was certain it would never go on. I went and got some emery cloth and cleaned the rack as smooth as possible then gave it a go again with a 4 foot crow bar.I’m surprised you got it on. After an hour of cussing and hurting my hand, I gave up.
Sorry for the duplicateJust wondering exactly what you all are seeing / feeling when deciding to change this bushing? I kinda feel something resonating up theough the steering wheel. Hard to describe exactly what it feels like other than i feel something "bumpy" After reading some of the threads on here I went out this am, slid under tahoe and had wife turn the wheel. As she turns the wheel, i can see the rack has side to side motion. Since there is a bushing on the passenger side and not hard mounted (through bushings) on driver's side, i assume this is somewhat normal. Is the movement you all are seeing, up and down? Or should I not see any movement of the rack? I would assume no. Thanks.....
