This is all on my 2001 Yukon Denali 6.0L

Long story short, pulling in the driveway, power steering fails (my father in law was driving my truck at the time). Finally towed to my house and in the garage. Power steering pump shaft broke (its obvious when you can pull the ps pulley in/out!). After replacing the ps pump, the truck idles barely at 500rpm and almost dies without any gas pedal actuation. Took her around the block to ops check the pump (works fine), but the truck will barely stay alive (died once while decelerating)??!!!
WHAT THE HELL COULD IT BE?

I think that the truck was starting to die or did die when my father in law was turning into the driveway and the force required to turn these large wheels/tires broke the shaft (I know that the Yukons have steering issues anyway).
CAN ANYONE SHED SOME LIGHT ON THIS?

ANY HELP/INSIGHT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

When I hooked everything back up and fired it up, my speedometer is pegged at 120 and wont roll back...

WTF?

When changing out the pump, did you guys unhook the battery? Either way, try unhooking the battery for a few hours and see if that solves your speedometer and idle problem!

Probably will have to do a throttle body relearn if the battery was disconnected for that long, someone posted it up a few days ago but if I find it I'll post it up on here for you!

Riv, Thanks! I tried to message you back but since I have not posted 10 times, I can't message. I did join your FB group tho, good looking out! I haven't had a chance to get out and try the relearn (thankfully I have a 3rd vehicle), but I NEEEEED to very soon, I miss my truck. I am going to post another thread about relearn so that there is some clarification for others in the future (and so someday I can send private messages!).

Right on, I added you to the group! Give the relearn a try and if that doesn't work, I'll post up the one I have (I found it the other day out of my Haynes manual).
