Seems like the relay or wiring is an issue. I hope I don't get this issue down the road on my retrofit

TRS support replied to me saying to take out the individual relay in the cube on the HD Relay harness and switch them to see if it's the actual relay itself or the cable. It's something I didn't troubleshoot because I didn't know you could take them individually out.

They said one capacitor should be enough.

I already switched the relays around and also swapped in two brand new relays of my own and it didn't change anything. I also wired the ballasts directly to the factory low beam pigtails, totally eliminating the entire relay harness, and got the same result of only one side working, except it was then the driver's side that worked and the passenger side didn't. Opposite of how it is when using the relay harness. This is a really weird problem and I'm glad to see I'm not the only one experiencing it. Looks like theirs a few of us with the same problem.

Did you swap ballasts from original driver side issue to passenger side when direct wired to battery?

Or did you swap bulbs? It could be a bulb acting up.

One capicitor per ballast and your good. No relay harness needed. Once in a while you will have one side out if it starts with low voltage but other than that your fine. I install them without harnesses all the time.

Yes, I swapped every combination of parts from side to side with no change in function. The driver's side never functioned when using the relay harness.

Still didn't work. I wired the ballasts directly to the factory low beam pigtails using a capacitor on each side and got the same result of only one side functioning. Only wired this way, it was now the driver's side that worked and the passenger side did not. All testing was performed with the truck idling and producing between 14-14.5 volts. This is why I'm at such a loss. It makes no sense.
