I would assume the tank could have its own harness and that connects to this ?

I guess that it could, but my vehicle harness plugs right into the bottom of the surge tank (the sensor). Hard to believe that an extra connection would be added. The penny-pinchers would not be happy. Bet your surge tank has its own local connection.

A true mystery. My '04 doesn't have it; why would they put it on your '05 and not use it? Gotta be some option that yours doesn't have.

when I changed the tank on the 05 the new tank had a sensor but there was no harness I thought maybe it had been cut off or something the same harness goes all the way up the front
