I saw a Police Tahoe in town the other day and I liked the look of the black cop wheels. I want to find some. I plan to level my truck out with Tortion keys and put some fairly aggressive tires on it. Anyone know if those wheels are available to the public?

yeah they're just the black steel wheels that are available on most fleet model tahoes and silverados, with a special center cap. Talk to your parts guy because they can usually get the hook up on these. I know a few people who run these as winter wheels with snow or studded tires on them...I think they are tight.

They've got some on Tirerack that look pretty cop-like...not sure if they are the exact same, but they are very similar. Not too expensive, either.

Cool. I'm usually a fan of black steel wheels. I had some on my 94 Toyota and when I bought them they tried to convince me that I had to get aluminum or it would vibrate but I never had any problems. i think they look mean.

I like them mostly as a statement against all those oversized ugly chrome wheels out there...Seems like even soccer moms where I live think they need to look like a rap star on the way to pick up the kids. The worst part is what people do when they get a flat on the freeway...they just ******* stop. I guess they are afraid of damaging their expensive wheels, but if you can afford to replace one you probably should have spent your money elsewhere anyway...I'm rambling and ranting, sorry.

I know what you mean. I put 22s on mine just to shut people up, then every yuppie with an suv started doing it. I have since put the stocks back on with a little oversized tire. NOW I stand out. I plan on getting some black steel too.

those cop wheels and setups are badass! I wonder how they would look if they were stretched out wider.

Yeah, mine won't look like a police truck since I'll have bigger tires. If it was 2wd I'd probably try to set it up just like the police trucks. I always like them when I see them, unless they're behind me with lights flashing.

This is what they look like for those who are not familiar.

Has anyone seen these 8-hole 17" steelies on any older generations of Tahoes? I've been searching everywhere, but I can't seem to find a picture.

Is there any reason why these wheels wouldn't fit on a Tahoe pre-2007?
