It makes a huge difference on an older engine for sure, also get yourself some throttle body spray or Seafoams Deep Creep and hose out your throttle body real good and let it sit for a bit, our throttle bodies get pretty dirty and really does effect the idle and drivibility of our trucks!

It would be great if I knew a damn thing about engines and could find or even knew what the throttle body was....lol. Adding it to the gas tank I can handle.

Are you really supposed to change the oil? How soon does that need to be done. I just foamed my truck today. I put mine through the intake tube right into the throttle body, if you look on Youtube Sea Foam has a channel and they said to deposit some right into the throttle body. I got a pretty decent amount of smoke.

i just spoke with seafoams customer tech support, i asked them that. He recommended leaving it in the oil for at least 100 miles. He said that he personally does his right after an oil change so it stays in there the full 3000 miles. He gave me a warning that if this was my first seafoam that its possible tat my oil will need to be changed after 2k miles because the seafoam will be breaking up alot of sludge, he said just keep a eye on it and change it when its dirty. Basically seafoam is all pertroeum based and doesnt harm anything staying in there for a while. I just got an oil change today and plan on seafoaming my tahoe tomorrow.

i added a can to my wife's civic. changed the oil and put it in the crankcase. ended up having to change it after about 1000 miles, because it had gotten so dirty.

you put the whole can in the oil?

i had put however much they called for, for 4 quarts and then dumped the rest in a half tank of her gas. i'm not sure it did anything noticable, although the oil got dirty as hell super quick.

When i called tech support on friday, that was one thing he warned me about, that I ll probably need an oil change around 2k miles, he said the seafoam will break up alot of stuff in the engine and cause what you stated already"the oil got dirty as hell super quick"
