I have a 07 denali. I'm getting like a pop sound at take off? I can only hear it up front, think driver side. Might be passenger but it is coming from the front. Is this common? What exactly is it? Is it a shock or motor mount? Any help will be appreciated.

May have to diagnose further.

I had a ball joint go bad on a van, it made a pop on deceleration braking only.

Could be a body mount.

Motor mounts act up under torque. Open the hood and power brake it gently. Check for visual flexing of the block.

Other wise check all the joints..... ball tie rod etc loose rack pinion etc

UCA and LCA bushings as well

Basically take the load of the suspension via lifting it up by the frame. Can use a long pry bar to gently check for flex on certain items.

Yes I will check my ball joints and tie rods. Mine only pops when I first take off or hit the gas kinda hard. Other than that no popping. Coming from the driver side front end. If not I will be a taking it to a shop

My truck did this and I brought it in to the dealership a few times. They never figured it out but it just magically stopped doing it one day and hasn't done it in at least a year.

hey how often should you replace the tie rods?

When play is suspected. Not really a regular maintenance item. Depends on driving habits etc.

For example.

A lot of hwy driving vs. A ups truck....... lol
