Model, year and mileage?Did we ever find out what this was? I'm having the same sound with mine, I can here it at lower speeds like stop and go or pulling into the driveway.
The only definitive way to know is to get the front end up on jack stands and start moving stuff. Grab those tires with your big bear paws at 6 and 9 positions, and give it a big ol' rocking (tie rod ends - inner or outer, wheel bearings, steering rack mount bushings, or control arm bushings - see what moves). Then do the same at 6 and 12 positions (ball joints or wheel bearings). Check the sway bar links visually - when they're bad it's obvious. Check the frame cross member bolts to make sure they're tight. Look at the engine mounts with a mirror and make sure they're not showing any signs of damage or leaking. Check your front diff mounts. These are the usual suspects.
