I took my aem brute force, sanded the tube down, and painted black to match the truck

bro, log onto ebay and buy the $60 - $70 CAI intake setup and call it good. Things perform just fine....

hey its an option

I can't bring myslef to gettting the Ebay cheapy 60 ones!!
Don't need it to mess up somethingin my Engine and run me more money than a quality intake would have anyways!

well i will say this one again... for me, its hard to disagree with my logic here.

You pay $60 for the ebay cheapy, which is LITTERALLY a direct rip off of the AEM BF. however there would be two possible weak leaks with these ebay intakes.

1. the filter quality
2. the gromit const.

You can buy an AEM filter which fits the ebay setups for under $60 which will put you at having a top quality intake for around $120

Lastly, the grommits... these may be of cheaper quality which means they wont last very long, but its something that can be replaced down the road.

Can't say I disagree here, I'm taking my expensive K&N and redesigning it soon with some homemade parts in fact.

I was going to go the e-bay route, but I came into a little bit of money so I hit max up for the real deal. I'm picking it up tomorrow morning, I can't wait. :D

yea that BF is a nice setup - although i just saw K&N's new FIPK 2 with the dry media. The setup looks *******!!
