Removing cv will cause a wheel hub failure. Bearing will explode

That is what a rough country rep said to me on their tech support chat on their website... I also thought the cv axles would still be fine at a slightly increased angle but according to their representative removing them is what they "strongly" recommended. Go figure lol...

Ive never heard that before, are you serious? I know quite a few people who had 4wd round body and cat eye trucks/tahoes and removed their cv axles without any problems...

Yes I'm positive it does on 2500hds. And use same hubs basically. you could cut axle and just have the inside and nut to preload bearing. If when it does happen you loose the wheel as well.

so what do you think would be the best thing for me to do as far as my cv axles go then? just leve them in, remove them completely, or something inbetween the two?

I would leave them in or have the cv cut so only the threaded shaft and machined service behind knuckle was left.
But if angles are really that bad that you can't turn in 2wd on street its probably better to just get a bigger lift or less wheel

its rubbing because of the -76 offset, not because the tires are 35's, and once I get the 2 more inches of lift from the bigger keys ill be able to fully clear my wheels without catching anywhere.

Like I said the lift will take lift keys but don't crank them to max and get some cognito UCAs. Pick up the zone 1.5" BL for trucks and norcal fender mod if needed after all that work. If you take out CVs the hub will grenade! You have to run 2wd stud nubs to keep it together but still leave the damn 4wd.
