Last year i bought a new rear bumper and i painted it myself. It looked great and i was so happy with the results but it just didn't last long. The paint did not bond well with the metal so it started to flake off.

Speaking to a friend who is in the auto body industry told me to try powder coating them. The rear bumper was usable because it was only on the truck for a year so no rust or dents just flaking paint which is okay. As for the front i just spent the money and bought a new one. It was showing rust. Dropped them off yesterday and i hope i get them back by end of this week. Will post up after pictures as soon as i get them.

Been thinking about doing that, but only got pads painted white. How much did you spend if you don't mind? If not bad, may do that instead of just buying a factory white one. Can't wait to see how it looks.

I got my bumpers back and installed, VERY happy with the results. While i was waiting for the bumpers to get done i decided to do some undercoating. I was in shock what i saw when i took off my bumpers. The reason i was MORE in shock was because last year i did almost an entire undercoat with rubberized undercoating from a local auto part store and i thought that was good enough for at LEAST a few years WOW was i wrong. Never again will i spend money on cheap undercoating products. I spent the money (20 dollars a can) and got some POR15 produccts. DAM now that's a protection barrier. What a difference. Anyway attached are some pictures. I'm awaiting for some new license plate light holders from LMC my black ones look like garbage. I decided to get a nice set of chrome ones.

Looks great!

The color match of the powder coat and Tahoe body looks spot on. Does it look spot on in person with the naked eye?
