so what's the fix? My 2003 Yukon XL Denali started this problem 3 months ago. Rear passenger doors and rear cargo door would not lock with door switch nor remote. All five doors unlock fine from any source. I replaced the lock relay last month, then all door locks operated fine. This past week the same symptom began again: front door locks operate fine, rear doors unlock with power but don't lock. Being curious, last night I removed both lock & unlock relays. In this condition the front door locks operate fine, rear door locks neither lock nor unlock. I then installed both original lock & unlock relays (not the recently purchased relay); all doors lock and unlock properly. There is no apparent difference in the resistance to operate any of the locks manually. What else should I look for? Really frustrating not knowing when the locks will lock or not.

Also, is there a way to lock the rear cargo door manually? I've not found it.

:welcome: You may get a little more accurate help in the this forum.

This the forum that applies to your model year. I would have to dig in to tech data for yours but it sound like there maybe a loose wire splice somewhere. or maybe corroded or dirty connection.

Also having an issue with the power door locks. All the doors will lock using the drivers door controls and only the drivers door will unlock, other three remain locked. The passenger door is a little stiff manually unlocking however the two back doors are easy. I was trying to locate the relay that goes under the dash and cannot find where it goes. I was also told that there is another module in the post behind the passenger seat on the drivers side. Incredilbly frustrated that I cannot find a solution to this annoying problem. Has anyone ever heard of just cleaning up and lubricating the old accuators.

:welcome: Relay is buried up in dash mounted to the right side of steering column body structure. there is no module behind the seat. At least not on the k10706(506) platforms. What year you talking?

I'm having a similar issue with my door locks. I don't have keyless entry or anything, but when I hit the lock/unlock button from inside the cabin I can see the door locks try to move but they never make it anywhere near far enough to actually lock or unlock the door. This applies to hitting it from either door.

Since they are moving a little bit, does that mean the actuators are binding or broken? Do you think I need to replace them?

good way to find out it to get a door panel off to get to get as close to the actuator as possible. disconnect it and test the voltage when activating the lock to determine if it is a power problem or just coincidence that all of them jamming.
