You have an aftermarket alarm or remote start if your locks are doing that. That's not a setting in the factory locks. The factory automatic locks will lock the doors when you get up to 20mph. You need to find out what kind of alarm or remote start you have and look up the programming settings to disable the auto lock with ignition feature.
Thanks for your reply. Are you saying the factory system doesn't have this capability? Because in my manual it explains there are 3 modes for the auto lock and 4 for the unlock.. including disabling the automatic for manual use only. currently, they lock upon start up, and if I take it out of gear, and put it back into park, they then unlock. As I stated earlier, I get into service mode, and do the whole shabang, and get the desired amount of chimes indicating the lock mode the manual describes for that amount of chimes..
I honestly do not know if my security has been tampered with.. bought it used the other day and have been doing little things here and there and this feature is annoying me.. Im pretty sure the locks are not suppose to act like that..
