The lumbar/bolster adjustments as well as the butt warmer work on the driver's side of my 01 Suburban (fully loaded LT, minus sunroof), but the seat does not move anywhere. And of course it is not in the proper position... No clicks, no sounds, nothing. Everything works great on the passenger side.

I checked connectors under the seat and all three are securely connected. There are three of them (airbag and two for power stuff), right? At least I didn't see any other connectors anywhere...

Also checked that there is power to the connector that connects to the switchpanel,on the side of the seat. Not all pins had 12V, but I'm assuming not all of them should, anyway. Also removed the passenger side panel and connected that to the driver's side, but to no avail.

So, am I to assume that for some reason all motors suddenly died or is there still something I should check? Is there a control module, or something that may have fried? No separate fuses for left and right, right?

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Motors all appear to work. It's the electronic module thingy under the seat that seems to be busted. I believe it's called the memory seat module.

Figured it out when I saw the circuit board just hanging there and found pieces of plastic that at some point made up the case for it. One of the wires that are supposed to connected to it was off, so I plugged it in and the seat started to move on its own in random directions. The controls still didn't work, but at least I saw the seat moving in all directions.

Most likely reason for it to busted is that the guy I bought it from weighed probably at least 350lbs and he said the seat stopped a couple of years ago when he was quite a bit heavier.

Worst part is that now the seatback is leaning pretty heavily to the back, so now I have to drive gangsta style until I get a replacement module.

Local junk yards sell the whole tracks with motors for $150, but hopefully I could find just the module for a bit cheaper. Not going to pay $300+ it seems to cost new.

Got a replacement module from salvage yard, plugged it in and we are back in business.

Just for future reference if anybody encounters similar issue, the control module is GM part #12473998 and of course it is discontinued. Attached picture is not mine, but one I found by Googling.

Salvage yards will say there is a module only for 03-06 GMT800s. The guy at the place I got mine from said he'd been in the business for 30 years and never has anybody asked for the module alone.
