no tools but a floor jack is needed. run the engine fill the res tank up if it keeps taking keep adding, once it stops taking fluid. jack both front wheels off the ground, engine running pump the brake pedal 15-20 times. then turn the engine off but leave the key to run, and turn the wheels lock to lock 15 times. fill res again if need be. repeat if the brakes still feel spongy.

well that sucks. it should clear up and give ya a firm pedal. i have to do it to the work truck that has a leaky line like once a year. as the hose end drips i suppose it lets air in the line. i do that once and its all better till it leaks low again.

hows the steering? it turn easy still? wondering if the pump is going bad, or is bad?

I ordered the cap and I will retry as you said also I called the pump reman company he said only way most guys get air out is hooking vac pump to power steering pump
But he did say lines can suck air but not leak any fluid also witch is issue your having . I'm going to put old style hose clamps on all connections to cooler and return lines . Yes stainless clamps .
The brakes work ok but steering in parking lot it's like Manuel steering for 30 secs or so when cranking out of tight spot .

Your power steering pump may not be putting out enough pressure, especially at low rpms. Might want to have the pressure tested. My PS pump was whining a bit and had to be replaced, with the result being easier steering and somewhat better (hydroboost) brakes. YMMV
