Hi,
I have an 08 Tahoe LT. The passengers side rear power window switch recently quit. Window operation still works from the master switch on the drivers door. As far as switch replacement goes, does a brand new switch need to be programmed? If I get a used switch does it not need to, if a new one does? If buying used is an option to avoid that extra expense, does it need to be from an 08 or will any from our generation work and can it be from any window other than the drivers or does it specifically have to be from the passenger rear door of the donor vehicle? Thank you in advance for all replies.

I do not think it would need to be programmed. Not 100% sure but think you are safe. Did you look at you tube?

Thanks for the reply. I did not look at YouTube yet. I was told by someone that these switches may need programming but he wasn’t sure if it was all of them or only the drivers master switches assembly.
