PPV in 4x4

Ok so I know they make the PPV in a 4x4 version now. Just how fast is it suppose to go compared to the 2wd PPV?

They are the same vehicle with the exception that you have 4x4 capability. You don't drive with the 4x4 engaged unless you are driving in an environment that would require four wheel drive. You have the option to keep it on an auto setting where the vehicle will engage four wheel drive briefly if the wheels lose traction then returns back to 2wd. They aren't AWD like the Explorers.

From my reading, the 2015 2WD PPV is governed at 139 MPH and the 2015 4WD PPV is governed at 121 MPH and the 2015 4WD SSV is governed at 98 MPH.

This information would have come from the brochures that GM produces for these specialty models or maybe the Upfitter Manuals.

I had my 2012 ppv up to 137 and had to start to slow down. It had a lot of pedel left.

A 2012 is not the same vehicle as a 2015, different body style and who knows what else. Heck I didn't know they made a 4wd PPV. It used to be 2wd=PPV, 4wd=SSV. oh well, have a nice day.

No u r right. They didn't make a 4x4 ppv until 2015.

I believe it was made to be a crossover vehicle in the way if the department u were on would get some snow and needed a 4x4 but also needed a high speed pursuit model it would fit into their budget

The 4x4 auto mode is really nice. IT will send power to wheels as needed and really sticks to the ground.
in manual 4x4 mode its like a truck and more off roading where by the auto mode is great for street!

Does anyone know if you can switch the four-wheel-drive version running gear to a 2 Wheel Dr. running gear ?
