PPV steelies - where did they all go?

I'm going to look at a 2014 LT tomorrow and in since it has (IMO) ugly wheels I have been looking for a set of PPV wheels cause I like the look. In the past they have been easy to find at the salvage yards but now. None to be had! I thought these would be easy to find as people who are not weird like me would be swapping them out for something else but i guess not.

arg...FWIW, If I buy this LT the plan is to make it look like an SSV while being an LT on the inside.

I got a set sitting in my garage that i can’t sell for nothing. Too many flakers

When I wanted an extra set, I had to buy one at a time from wrecking yards on eBay. Two came with center caps. I paid 65-85 apiece.

I bought a set of standard Silverado steelies and drilled holes for the PPV caps, then painted them.

You can buy black replacements from dorman.

I looked all over local as well and found none! Like Tony I made a set out of truck steelies and sold my kidney to afford the center caps.

I have had the same issue here. Can't find them and if you do you can't sell them.

Try your local craigslist under wherls/tires.

Yeah. I am considering those but don't know if I want to deal with drilling and tapping for the center caps

Why not ask the insurance company if you can swap the rims and tires from your new truck and your old truck. My insurance company allowed me to do that.
