I see a multitude of wire sets on RockA.
Any preferences?

Our manual only recommends to "inspect" them at 100,000 miles. Is that a good interval to actually change them considering that ours have 12 years on them?

Change at 100k miles and plugs as well if has not been done already. I always recommend AC Delco. I would have looked up for you but you failed to give any vehicle info. I wish I could understand why people ask for help on their rig and then give no info for that rig. PITA

We recommend that you put all your rig(s) info in your signature so we all don’t have to guess at year, make, model, engine size, trans, rear axle locker…….etc. While you may have posted pertinent info in your first post, you may forget to do it again and the info is needed by us anyway. Makes it way easier on all members that attempt to help, to have that info right up front. It is also recommended that you take a pic of your RPO codes, on the inside cover of the glove box, and post that image in your signature. All this info will greatly help those that will try to help with a problem.

If there is any other info, like upgrades, mods or recent mechanical/maintenance work done, that would be helpful in any post as well. Too many times a question is asked by the poster and after about 10 responses we find out that the poster has done recent work to attempt to fix the problem or work that was done that SEEMS not related to the problem.

I thought posting in the 2007-2014 Tahoe/Yukon section about plug wires would cover the nature of the query. I appreciate your answer but if you are so bothered please don't trouble yourself in the future. Frankly I didn't read past the first paragraph.

So, what you are saying is that each and every 2007 to 2014 Tahoe and Yukon have the exact same options, engines....etc. and are all interchangeable. Golly, I wish I would have thought of that. In that case it does not matter and you can just plug and play. I think I will open a repair shop for nothing but 2007 to 2014 Tahoes and Yukons. My parts stock will be very easy then, since they are all the exact same. You are right, whenever I see a post of yours, I will not trouble myself. Can't come to my new shop either.

EddieC, I suggest you take the advice given. You could easily be buying the wrong parts if it werent for people educating you on how many differences there are with this car and many others! Your ego may be a little hurt but its important to know how to be the most efficient in here....if you want help.

I appreciate your input but the post that I take exception to was abusive and inappropriate. I don't care what his credentials are.

The other replies were civil.

Show me in this quote from my original post where I am abusive and inappropriate:

"Change at 100k miles and plugs as well if has not been done already. I always recommend AC Delco. I would have looked up for you but you failed to give any vehicle info. I wish I could understand why people ask for help on their rig and then give no info for that rig. PITA"

I stated it is a PITA. It is. That is my statement about the act of not supplying rig info and I even mentioned that I want "people", not just you to do it.

I stated you failed to give info. YOU DID DO THAT. I even, in the same sentence, said I would have looked up for you. Boy, am I mean! Oh the humanity of it all!

If you ask for help here or in a shop or at the dealer, they want info about rig. It is that simple.

I can guess one thing about you and guarantee you I am correct. Hope this statement is not abusive or inappropriate. But if it is.................IDGARA

I honestly wouldnt care if he was abusive as long as i get my questions answered. Nobody here knows anyone for the most part so attacks are on your online personality, not who you really are. We should all be respectful but the mission is to get your toy fixed. Disrespect is partially perspective so I wont say he wasn't being disrespectful but I've seen people refuse to give any feedback until you gave them what you wanted. He seemed to go as far as he could with advice without putting you in a bad position.
