Found the problem... hazard switch. Seems there's a short somewhere. Any thoughts on what's involved to replace it? Is it a quick/easy fix or does the whole column have to be disassembled?

Yes, for the one in my signature (99 4dr 2wd). The hazard switch (on the top of the steering column) is "quirky" - I have to pull on it (pull the switch toward me) after it's been depressed to make the hazards flash. I would think this would point toward the switch being the problem rather than the relay on the floor. Haven't confirmed this, but just makes sense to me. Thoughts?

Thanks for the info... Given the nature of that tutorial and the one linked in it, I hope I can just replace the hazard relay and everything work as normal. Though not scared of tackling it, I don't really want to unless necessary. :D

Yea its not that bad to install it just takes a lil bit of time. The reason i replace mine was that when i took of the bezzel off to put a stereo on the hazard button broke of and it left the hazard lights on. The good thing is that i found a new one that was still in the box from my local salvage yard and it was $100 rather then paying $300 at the parts store. GL hope its just the relay.

Thanks for the nice thoughts... Hazards and brake lights are working as of last night / this morning - free "fix". :D I'll make a stop by the parts house this evening and pickup a new relay.
