I got my 2003 Tahoe LT in 2005 for $25K with about 36K miles on it.

The other day I was checking out prices on a 2010 Tahoe LT with about the same mileage and it was $41K (it had navigation etc).

I was pretty surprised to see how much prices have jumped compartively. My boy checked out 2010 Escalade prices and it actually wasn't that much more than the Tahoe.

Basic economics, supply and demand and such.. Remember "Cash for Clunkers"? Never in the history of automobiles have so many V-8s went to the scrapyard in so short a period of time. And yet, the demand for these autos stayed the same. So their prices have went up. That price jump climbed the ladder all the way to your prospective 2010 model.

Gas prices play a huge factor too. If gas jumped to $5 a gallon that dealer would be falling over himself to roll that beast out at a small loss.

But yeah, MSRP prices have went up to keep comparative with the foreign market. lol

That seems a bit high, I got an '07 LT with 40k miles for 25k, no Nav but it does have Bose, captain's chairs and leather.

Yeah the market on these have gone way up. My 2003 Denali bought in 06 was $15k. )07 Tahoe LTZ in 2012 for $20k. Makes no sense. Whats funny is if you look at a comparable Ford Expedition, they're so much lower than where the GM's are.

if i were to sell mine, i'd expect quite a bit. you have to take mileage per year and condition into consideration...to me those are the biggest factors.

I was going to say that price seems a bit on the high side but after checking out a few dozen ads for 2010+ it's true!

Surprising but also nice to see the depreciation is slow.
