All of that sounds a lot like work. Get a couple offers via dealers, Carvana, etc, value the tax credit, value your time, and go from there. I’ve sold plenty of cars private party, but they were either cheap or desirable-spec sports cars. For commodities like a GM, throw the keys to the dealer, take your tax credit, and save yourself the head trauma of trying to sell to the general public on FB Marketplace.
Actually, Fakebook is worse for scams than Craigslist. The dealer needs to make a profit, but a lot of them get carried away. I've got a really nice Mazda will all the boxes checked for what people want in a car. Even the right color. If I sell it, the KBB price is around $13,000. One dealer offered me $5500 for it. It's paid for, comfortable and never gives me much trouble so all I do is spend money on maintenance. Unless someone gives me a really good offer, it's staying right here.
