Sounds like your headed in the right direction... But I was warned NOT to flush the tranny.... Just drain fluid, replace filter and fill with good quality ATF... I just did mine and used 6 quarts of AMSOIL ATF...

I never heard that one. When I first got my Tahoe I did several things:

New Gatorback Belt
New Pulley's
New Engine Oil (Mobile One Full Synthetic 10w30)
Tranny Flushed
New Plugs/wires/rotor
K&N Filter installed (Filter only, not the intake system)

I'm sure I did more but I can't remember, lol.

Mud flaps made it. The fronts should be a snap, but the rears will need to be trimmed as they bump the back of the wheel well. Bit disappointed with Husky on that. You'd think they'd have a cut out so there'd be no drama. The weathertech front floor mats didn't fit for shit. What a ******* pain. Now gotta send em back and swap for something else. I should have stuck with niftys.

Back u joint at the rear pinion squeaky squeak. Pulled it off. All four cups dry with powdered needle bearings. Decided to replace all u joints given they are 15 years old and the truck hadn't been ran much in many years. Glad I did.

WeatherTech mats didn't fit worth a shit. The cargo liner did. Sent the floor mats back and got the Nifty Catch-alls coming. Husky mudflaps on now. Got the oil changed, new pcv valve and checked the air cleaner. Like new. Doggone mice built a nest inside the air box at sometime during the Hoe's storage life. Got that all cleaned out. Had the shop run some cleaner through the vacum lines similar to Seafoam. Wiped out the tbe top to. No more sticky throttle. Now just need to figure out how to get the wipers working again.
